MEDION AG: Ad hoc notification pursuant to Section 15 German
Securities Trading Act (WpHG) Increase of full year 2007 guidance
MEDION sales in Q4 2007 may exceed Q4 2006 sales by between 5% and
10%.
As a result, therefore, the improved annual outlook for 2007 (sales
of EUR 1.4 to 1.6 billion, EBIT of 1-1.5%), just now adjusted in
August of 2007, can be further detailed and re-adjusted upwards
again. It is particularly relevant that the sales and earnings
targets initially set for 2007 and 2008 when preparing the
forecast are already being achieved in 2007. Despite a decline in
sales of 13.4% in the first half of 2007, total 2007 sales are
expected to exceed prior year sales. MEDION now anticipates
total 2007 sales of approximately EUR 1.65 billion.
Due to a streamlining of the product range and the
structural measures undertaken, as well as the expansion of the
service portfolio the Management Board assumes that the MEDION
Group will generate positive EBIT of approximately EUR 22-25
million in 2007, which is also higher than the earlier projection.
