Ms Madeleine Schickedanz (Germany) notified Arcandor AG (Essen, Germany) on 24
October 2008 in accordance with section 21 et seq. WpHG that on 17 October 2008
her attributions fell below the threshold of 30% of voting rights in Arcandor AG
and that her share of voting rights (based on the total voting rights before the
registration of the capital increase of 29 September 2008) amounted to 29.05%
(66,866,108 voting rights).
a) This share of voting rights includes her voting rights in Arcandor AG in
the amount of 5.13% (11,817,441 voting rights);
b) Further voting rights in the amount of 23.91% (55,048,667 voting rights)
are attributable to her in accordance with article 22 (2) WpHG, i.e. voting
rights

aa) of Madeleine Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG; bb)
of Leo Herl; cc) of Martin Dedi Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG.
c) Of the voting rights in the amount of 23.91% mentioned under
b), voting rights in the amount of 18.18% (41,853,920 voting rights)
are also attributable to her in accordance with article 22 (1) sent.

Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG and Madeleine
Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs Beteiligungs GmbH which are
controlled by Madeleine Schickedanz.

Madeleine Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG (Fürth,
Germany) notified Arcandor AG (Essen, Germany) on 24 October 2008 in
accordance with section 21 et seq. WpHG that on 17 October 2008 its
attributions fell below the threshold of 30% of voting rights in
Arcandor AG and that its share of voting rights (based on the total
voting rights before the registration of the capital increase of 29
September 2008) amounted to 29.05% (66,866,108 voting rights). This
share of voting rights includes: a) its voting rights in
Arcandor AG in the amount of 18.18% (41,853,920 voting rights); b)
the voting rights attributable to it in accordance with article 22
(2) WpHG in the amount of 10.87% (25,012,188 voting rights), i.e. aa)
voting rights of Madeleine Schickedanz; bb) voting rights of Leo
Herl; cc) voting rights of Martin Dedi Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH &
Co. KG.

Madeleine Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs Beteiligungs GmbH (Fürth,
Germany) notified Arcandor AG (Essen, Germany) on 24 October 2008 in
accordance with section 21 et seq. WpHG that on 17 October 2008 its
attributions fell below the threshold of 30% of voting rights in
Arcandor AG and that its share of voting rights (based on the total
voting rights before the registration of the capital increase of 29
September 2008) amounted to 29.05% (66,866,108 voting rights).
Madeleine Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs Beteiligungs GmbH itself
does not own voting rights. This share of voting rights includes: a)
the voting rights attributable to it in accordance with article 22
(1) sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG of Madeleine Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs
GmbH & Co. KG in the amount of 18.18% (41,853,920 voting rights); b)
the voting rights attributable to it in accordance with article 22
(2) WpHG in the amount of 10.87% (25,012,188 voting rights), these
include aa) voting rights of Madeleine Schickedanz; bb) voting rights
of Leo Herl; cc) voting rights of Martin Dedi Vermögensverwaltungs
GmbH & Co. KG.

Mr Leo Herl (Germany) notified Arcandor AG (Essen, Germany) on 24
October 2008 in accordance with section 21 et seq. WpHG that on 17
October 2008 his attributions fell below the threshold of 30% of
voting rights in Arcandor AG and that his share of voting rights
(based on the total voting rights before the registration of the
capital increase of 29 September 2008) amounted to 29.05% (66,866,108
voting rights). This share of voting rights includes: a) his
voting rights in Arcandor AG in the amount of 0.001% (3,075 voting
rights); b) the voting rights attributable to him in accordance
with article 22 (2) WpHG in the amount of 29.05% (66,863,033 voting
rights), i.e. aa) voting rights of Madeleine Schickedanz; bb) voting
rights of Madeleine Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG;
cc) voting rights of Martin Dedi Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG.

Grisfonta AG (St. Moritz, Switzerland) notified Arcandor AG (Essen,
Germany) on 24 October 2008 in accordance with section 21 et seq.
WpHG that on 17 October 2008 its attributions fell below the
threshold of 30% of voting rights in Arcandor AG and that its share
of voting rights (based on the total voting rights before the
registration of the capital increase of 29 September 2008) amounted
to 29.05% (66,866,108 voting rights). Grisfonta AG itself does not
own voting rights. In accordance with article 22 (2) WpHG, voting
rights in the amount of 29.05% (66,866,108 voting rights) are
attributable to it, i.e. a) voting rights of Madeleine Schickedanz;
b) voting rights of Leo Herl; c) voting rights of Madeleine
Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG; d) voting rights of
Martin Dedi Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH & Co. KG.

Mr Martin Dedi (Germany) notified Arcandor AG (Essen, Germany) on 24
October 2008 in accordance with section 21 et seq. WpHG that on 17
October 2008 his attributions fell below the threshold of 30% of
voting rights in Arcandor AG and that his share of voting rights
(based on the total voting rights before the registration of the
capital increase of 29 September 2008) amounted to 29.05% (66,866,108
voting rights). Martin Dedi himself does not own voting rights. a)
Thereof 23.32% (53,674,436 voting rights) are attributable to him in
accordance with article 22 (2) WpHG, i.e. voting rights of aa)
Madeleine Schickedanz; bb) Madeleine Schickedanz Vermögensverwaltungs
GmbH & Co. KG;

b) Of the share of voting rights of 29.05% (66,866,108 voting rights),
voting rights in the amount of 5.73% (13,191,672 voting rights) are attributable
