Preliminary results 2008

2008 was the best year yet for the ROSENBAUER Group in its entire
143-year history. This success is attributable largely to the strong
international position achieved by the Group over the past few years.
With timely additions to its production capacity in the USA and
Austria, ROSENBAUER was well prepared to deal with the ensuing high
production volumes, enabling it to continue on the successful growth
track of recent years.

Group revenues rose by 17% in 2008, to EUR 500.2 Mio (2007: EUR 426.1
Mio). This organic growth of EUR 74.1 Mio represents what is by far
the biggest increase in revenues ever achieved in the history of the
company. The main drivers of this revenue growth were the export
business of ROSENBAUER International AG and the German companies.
EBIT surged by 29% in 2008 to an all-time high of EUR 39.8 Mio (2007:
EUR 30.8 Mio). The main earnings drivers were the export business of
ROSENBAUER International AG and the US companies.

Order intake in the ROSENBAUER Group climbed to EUR 556.7 Mio, EUR
98.0 Mio (21%) above the previous year's figure (2007: EUR 458.7
Mio). Particularly strong growth was achieved in international and US
business.

Thanks to the buoyant order intake trend in the final quarter of the
year, the volume of orders on hand at the end of 2008 reached a new
record level of EUR 459.2 Mio (2007: EUR 375.4 Mio). In consequence,
2009 will also see a continuation of the high levels of capacity
utilization at the Group's production facilities.
