Bad Soden, March 31, 2009: TRIPLAN AG (ISIN: DE 0007499303/Prime
Standard) closed the business year 2008 with a broad increase in
revenues and rentability. The group boosted its revenues by 6.6
percent from 44.1 million euro by 2.9 million euro up to 47.0 million
euro in the reporting period (January 1st, - December 31st, 2008).
The core segment "Engineering" contributed 43.7 million euro
(previous year: 40.5 million euro / +7.9 percent) to the group
revenues, the segment "Technology Services 3.7 million euro (previous
year: 4.1 million euro / -9.7 percent).

With an increase of 10.3 percent, the group EBIT outperformed the
comparable amount of the previous year by 273 TEUR and rose up to 2.9
million euro. This answers to a light improvement of TRIPLAN´s
EBIT-margin, that rose from 6.1 percent up to 6.2 percent in the
year-to-year comparison.

Net profit after share of profit of other shareholders and at-equity
results/losses rose by 30.9 percent from 2,042 TEUR by 631 TEUR up to
2,673 TEUR. This answers to an improvement of the earnings per share
(diluted/undiluted) from 0.21 euro by 33.3 percent up to 0.28 euro.

With this development in revenues and profit, the Management Board
outperformed the forecasted revenues in the amount of 44.5 million
euro and achieved the Ebit in the amount of 2.9 million euro.

The cash position rose despite of an M&A transaction in May 2008 from
5,537 TEUR by approximately 19 percent up to 6,585 TEUR. With a total
balance sheet in the amount of 24.6 million euro, the equity ratio
improved a bit to 60.5 percent.

Due to the high utilized capacity of the employees and the
engineering expertise in the industries Life Science,
Refinery/Petrochemical and Chemical/Industrial, TRIPLAN´s Management
sees the company well positioned in the current market environment.
The market position is supported by the gained expertise in the
segment Energy, that Triplan achieved with the acquisition of
Planungsbüro Burkart in May 2008. For the current business year 2009,
the Management Board still forecasts revenues in the amount of 49.0
million euro and an EBIT in the amount of 3.0 million euro.
