With effect as of May 1, 2009, P&I Personal & Informatik AG,
Wiesbaden, is taking over GRONEMEYER Gesellschaft für Datentechnik,
EDV und Organisationsberatung mbH, which is domiciled in Höxter.
Prior to this, the latter company hived off its network technology
and internet security product area, which will continue to exist as
GRONEMEYER IT GmbH in the form of an independent company in Höxter.
In this way, P&I AG is reinforcing its competence in the time
management product line as a leading supplier of integrated HR
soft-ware solutions. GRONEMEYER offers comprehensive know-how by
means of standard software for time management, access control and
personnel deployment planning. The main focus of the business is the
time management product with approx 300 customers, approx. 50
customers of which in Switzerland and the Netherlands. In the year
2008, the company achieved a total sales turnover of 2.3 million
euros with this subarea and approx. 30 employees. The purchase price
is in the lower one digit million range and was derived completely
from equity capital. P&I AG is purchasing the core product APG 2000,
a platform-independent standard software product for time management
that can be individually customised. In addition to reinforcing its
market share, P&I perceives future potential in the growth market
consisting of access control. With its second acquisition in this
market segment, P&I is positioning itself as a time management
expert. The employees of GRONEMEYER GmbH, which will continue to
exist as an independent company, will be taken over by P&I AG and
integrated into a stock exchange listed, independent company with a
European orientation. The vocational training that was established
under Gronemeyer is to be continued in the future.
