- JoWooD presents a leap in the results for the second quarter 2009
- 84% of the FY 2008 annual result already achieved in the first half-year
2009
- Net profit margin amounts to 7% for the second quarter 2009
- Revenues of the second quarter increased in YoY comparison to
approximately EUR 6 million

Vienna, Austria, August 31 2009; JoWooD achieved a remarkable result for the
second quarter of FY 2009. Top- as well as bottom line, JoWooD presents one of
the best results for the second quarter in company history. One of the strongest
titles of FY 2009 - "Yoga" for Nintendo® Wii™ - will go on sale in November
2009.

Despite the disadvantageous, macro-economic framework, a boost of the net income
by 34% in the second quarter 2009 has been recorded, compared to last year´s
reference period. Furthermore, the second quarter usually tends to be weakest
quarter of the industry cycle.

Considering a quarterly basis, revenues of the second quarter of FY 2009 have
been increased by approx. 5% to EUR 6 million (previous year: EUR 5,7 million).
EBIT of the second quarter of FY 2009 amounts to EUR 0.473 million, being
equivalent to an increase of 7% compared with last year´s reference period. Net
income has been increased by remarkable 34% compared with the previous year. Net
income of the second quarter amounts to EUR 0.217 million (previous year: EUR
0.162 million).

Management set the course for the top products of 2009, the expansion
of the distribution structure, and the release of "ArcaniA - A Gothic
Tale" in FY 2010.

The strongest title of FY 2009 "Yoga" for Nintendo® Wii™ will go on
sale in November 2009. The Austrian concept for "Yoga" counts among
the most innovative software products. As opposed to other fitness-
and sport games for the Nintendo® Wii™, "Yoga" pursues an entirely
different approach. The emphasis is put on the "deceleration" of
everyday life, ensuring a relaxing game experience without stress.
The response from consumers and media is astonishing.
