London, 5 November 2009 - UBS Investment Bank informed us on 5 November 2009
that UBS AG, London Branch, held convertible bonds of Air Berlin PLC on 3
November 2009 which, if the bonds were converted into shares during the
conversion period from 17 November 2009 to 15 August 2014, would convert into
3,192,020 voting ordinary shares in Air Berlin PLC. This represents 3.75% of the
Company's total voting rights on the date of acquisition.
UBS Investment Bank also informed us that, as of 3 November 2009, UBS AG, London
Branch, held 43,447 voting ordinary shares in Air Berlin PLC (0.05% of the
Company's total voting rights). The aggregate number of voting rights which UBS
AG, London Branch would hold if the convertible bonds were converted into shares
would be 3,235,467, which represents 3.80% of the Company's total voting rights
as of 3 November 2009.
