 Tanzanian Royalty Exploration Corporation - Aggregate US$2.5 Million Private Placement Completes

Vancouver (ots/PRNewswire) - Tanzanian Royalty Exploration
Corporation (TSX: TNX; AMEX: TRE) is pleased to announce that
participation by Guild Investment Management, Inc, in the aggregate
US$2.5 million private placement announced on February 3, 2006 has
now closed.
The private placement common shares are subject to certain
mandated hold periods and resale restrictions and the certificates
representing such shares are legended accordingly. No warrants,
options or other rights have been issued or granted in connection
with this placement.
