München (euro adhoc) - Munich-based Data Modul AG is the market
leader in the field of display technology in Europe. Data Modul
develops, manufactures and distributes innovative flat-screen
displays, monitors, electronic components and complete information
systems.

In the second quarter of the current financial year, revenue
increased by 37.4 % to 28.3 million euros (2009: 20.6 million euros).
The Industry segment generated revenues of 25.4 million euros (2009:
18.6 million euros), while the Information Systems segment generated
revenues of 2.9 million euros (2009: 2.0 million euros). The
Corporation generated a total revenue of 56.5 million euros during
the first half of 2010 (2009: 48.6 million euros). Order entry
increased by 38.0 % to 32.3 million euros (2009: 23.4 million euros)
in the second quarter. The increase in order entry as compared to the
second quarter of the previous year was achieved in both segments.
Therefore, order entry totaled 61.8 million euros in the first half
of the 2010 financial year (2009: 49.8 million euros). In the first
half of 2010, the export quota totaled 30.3 %. As a result of the
positive revenue development and the effects of the reorganization
program initiated in 2009, the EBIT, in accordance with IFRS,
increased by 193.8 % to 1.5 million euros (2009: -1.6 million euros)
in the second quarter of 2010 and thus totals 3.0 million euros in
the first six months of this year (2009: -1.0 million euros). The
EBIT breaks down as follows: 3.3 million euros (2009: 0.8 million
euros) from the Industry segment; -0.3 million euros (2009: -1.8
million euros) from the Information Systems segment. The annual net
income totals 1.8 million euros (2009: -1.5 million euros), resulting
in earnings per share of 0.51 euros in the first half of 2010 (based
on 3,526,182 shares). The operating cash flow as of 30 June 2010
amounted to 0.4 million euros (2009: -0.8 million euros). At the end
of the first half of 2010, the Corporation´s equity ratio (according
to IFRS) totals 47.0 %. Hence, the Corporation continues to
demonstrate its financial strength and remarkable liquidity.

For the second half of 2010 as well as the following years, we expect for our
core business Display Technology continued double-digit percentage growth
rates. Data Modul has a solid financial basis, long-term funds and a clear
corporate strategy. We shall continue to globalize Data Modul, consolidate
markets and add interesting technologies to our portfolio. The focus of all our
activities will aim at the Industry segment. To achieve this, we shall
concentrate on organic growth financed from our strong cash flow.
