Announcement according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG (share)

Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, notified Pfeiffer
Vacuum pursuant to article 21 section 1 WpHG (“German Securities Trading Act”)
that its percentage of voting rights in our company fell below the threshold of
15 % on November 22, 2010 and on that day amounted to 14.95 % (equalling
1,475,096 voting rights). These 14.95 % are attributed to Arnhold and S.
Bleichroeder Holdings, Inc., New York, USA, pursuant to article 22 section 1
sentence 1 no. 6 and article 22 section 1 sentence 2 WpHG. Of the following
shareholders the voting rights are attributed to the notifier: First Eagle
Overseas Fund and First Eagle Global Fund.

The First Eagle Investment Management, LLC, New York, USA, notified Pfeiffer
Vacuum pursuant to article 21 section 1 WpHG that its percentage of voting
rights in our company fell below the threshold of 15 % on November 22, 2010 and
on that day amounted to 14.95 % (equalling 1,475,096 voting rights). These 14.95
% are attributed to the First Eagle Investment Management, LLC, New York, USA,
pursuant to article 22 section 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG. Of the following
shareholders whose percentage of voting rights in Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG
respectively exceeds 3 % the voting rights are attributed to the notifier: First
Eagle Overseas Fund and First Eagle Global Fund.

The First Eagle Global Fund, New York, USA, notified Pfeiffer Vacuum pursuant to
article 21 section 1 WpHG (“German Securities Trading Act”) that its percentage
of voting rights in our company fell below the threshold of 10 % on November 22,
2010 and on that day amounted to 9.82 % (equalling 969,311 voting rights).

Furthermore, the First Eagle Overseas Fund, New York, USA, informed Pfeiffer
Vacuum that its percentage of voting rights in our company on November 22, 2010,
amounted to 4.24 % (equalling 417,899 voting rights). The necessary disclosure
for falling below the threshold of 5 % on November 18, 2010 was made on November
25, 2010.
