Aßlar (euro adhoc) - Pfeiffer Vacuum is selling hydrogen leak
detection specialist Adixen Skandinavia AB to INFICON. This
Sweden-based company had been acquired by Pfeiffer Vacuum in late
2010 in connection with the adixen acquisition. The transaction is
scheduled to be concluded during the current quarter.

Located in Linköping, Sweden, with a staff of some 20 people, Adixen
Skandinavia AB is a manufacturer of leak detection products with
hydrogen serving as the test gas. These kinds of leak detectors are
employed first and foremost in connection with applications that
involve potentially higher leak rates, although they are not directly
related to vacuum monitoring. This means that they do not belong to
Pfeiffer Vacuum´s core business. INFICON, a publicly traded world
leader in instruments and process monitoring software, will further
broaden its market position through the acquisition of Adixen
Skandinavia AB.

For Pfeiffer Vacuum, the sale of this production facility in Sweden
represents a further leaning of its structures and a focus on the
company´s core business as a provider of vacuum solutions. Both
companies, Pfeiffer Vacuum and INFICON, will continue to collaborate
closely in connection with monitoring instruments for vacuum
applications. Confidentiality has been agreed as to the financial
details of the transaction.
