Leonding (euro adhoc) - * Brazil's airports in line to receive 80
PANTHER ARFF ready for Football World Cup * Biggest single order for
ARFF vehicles in Rosenbauer's history Rosenbauer, the fire-equipment
sector's premier manufacturer, yesterday signed a contract with
Brazil's state-owned airport operator Infraero Aeroportos to supply
80 PANTHER ARFF, worth 42.9mUSD.

By undertaking this fleet renewal program, Infraero Aeroportos is
bringing fire-protection standards at Brazil's airports right up to
date - all the more important in view of the approaching 2014
Football World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics. All the country's
international airports, such as Antônio Carlos Jobim Airport in Rio
de Janeiro and Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo, will also benefit from
new equipment as part of this program. This will ensure compliance
with the - increasingly closely monitored - international airport
certification regulations of the ICAO (International Civil Aviation
Organisation).

The PANTHERs are to be manufactured at the two US plants Rosenbauer
Minnesota and Rosenbauer Motors in Wyoming, MN, with the fire
fighting systems being supplied from the main plant in Leonding. The
vehicles are to be supplied and commissioned in several tranches by
January 2014. A prototype is to be handed over to the client before
the end of this year.

The vehicles in question are PANTHER 6x6's with powerful 665 HP
Detroit Diesel engines. They have a top speed of 120 km/h and an
extinguishant payload of 12,870 l.

This success testifies yet again to the leading position occupied by
the Rosenbauer Group, which won this international tender thanks to
the high standards of engineering and quality insisted upon by
Rosenbauer Minnesota. This new order marks an important building
block on the way towards securing a good level of basic capacity
utilization over the next two years.
