has appeared in the world of high-performance analog semiconductors
and best-in-class sensor solutions with the announcement today by
austriamicrosystems that "ams" will be its new company brand. The new
brand name, "ams," unites austriamicrosystems and the brand and
identity of TAOS (Texas Advanced Optoelectronic Solutions, Inc.), the
leading global supplier of intelligent light sensors, acquired in
2011.

ams, headquartered in Unterpremstaetten, Austria, is a leading global
designer and manufacturer of high performance analog ICs that
provides innovative analog solutions to the most challenging
applications in sensors and sensor interfaces, power management and
wireless. ams' products are aimed at applications which require high
accuracy, wide dynamic range, sensitivity, and immunity to noise or
