INVEST JAPAN: The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) of Japan welcomes foreign direct investments to Japan

Tokyo (ots) - INVEST JAPAN, the Japanese government's official
program to attract inward foreign direct investment, will provide
valuable support for your company's business expansion at the
Intersolar Europe 2012 in Munich, Germany, 13-15 June 2012 (Hall A1
Booth 578).

The supports provided include three factors. The leading global
management consulting company Accenture will provide professional
advice to ensure your company's success in Japan with deep knowledge
of the market and extensive experience in supporting global
companies' businesses. The mixed team of national and regional
government officials will aid your company in identifying the best
location to set-up your business operation in Japan -taking into
consideration the business aspects as the synergy of your company's
strengths and the regional area's business environment, as well as
financial factors such as incentives offered by the national and
regional government. Upon your company's qualification as a company
having specific interest in investing in Japan, to accelerate the
development of your company's business, we will coordinate activities
upon your visit such as: business-matching with Japanese domestic
companies, arranging meetings with public organizations which provide
business facilitation for foreign companies planning business in
Japan, and arranging visits to prospective sites for establishing
operational bases in Japan.

Project Objectives

The recent rapid growth of emerging economies in Asia, last year's
Great East Japan Earthquake, and other factors have posed challenges
for Japan to attract inward foreign direct investment.

While the Japanese government strives for the early establishment
of "the Bill on Promotion to make Japan an Asian Business Hub
Center," which includes the corporate tax and patent fee reduction
for foreign companies, "the Program for Promoting Japan as an Asian
Business Center and Direct Investment into Japan" was established in
December 2011 to further improve the business and living environment
for foreign companies and nationals in Japan. The government
recognizes the importance of actively communicating to the world it's
promotional measures that enhance the foreign direct investment into
Japan.

In order to effectively communicate on the Japanese investment
environment with foreign companies in the wake of the Great East
Japan Earthquake, this project will send delegations to global
exhibitions and other business events to meet the identified foreign
companies interested in investing in Japan and will organize and
coordinate business matching tours in Japan for foreign companies,
helping them visit key locations in Japan that could enhance their
business, including the disaster affected areas. These activities aim
to encourage direct inward investment into Japan, helping to create
domestic employment and accelerate the recovery of the Japanese
economy.
