Announcement according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG (share)

1. On August 16, 2012, Mr. Colin Moran, USA, has notified us pursuant to section
21 (1) WpHG that his percentage of voting rights in SMT Scharf AG, Hamm,
Germany, has fallen below the threshold of 3% and amounted to 2.98% (125,067
voting rights) as of August 16, 2012.

Of these voting rights, 2.98% (125,067 voting rights) are attributed to him
pursuant to section 22 (1) sentence 1 no. 6 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

Of these voting rights, 2.98% (125,067 voting rights) are also attributed to him
pursuant to section 22 (1) sentence 1 no. 2 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.

2. On August 16, 2012, Abdiel Capital Advisors LLC, New York, USA, has notified
us pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG that its percentage of voting rights in SMT
Scharf AG, Hamm, Germany, has fallen below the threshold of 3% and amounted to
2.98% (125,067 voting rights) as of August 16, 2012.

Of these voting rights, 2.98% (125,067 voting rights) are attributed to them
pursuant to section 22 (1) sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG.

3. On August 16, 2012, Abdiel Capital Management LLC, New York, USA, has
notified us pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG that its percentage of voting rights
in SMT Scharf AG, Hamm, Germany, has fallen below the threshold of 3% and
amounted to 2.98% (125,067 voting rights) as of August 16, 2012.

Of these voting rights, 2.98% (125,067 voting rights) are attributed to them
pursuant to section 22 (1) sentence 1 no. 2 in connection with sentence 2 WpHG.
