1. M&G Investment Management Limited, London, United Kingdom, informed us on
August 28, 2012 pursuant to § 21 Paragraph 1 of the German Securities Trading
Act (WpHG) that its share of the voting rights in Symrise AG exceeded the 15%
threshold on August 23, 2012 and on this day amounted to 15.0008%. This
corresponds to 17,726,940 voting rights. This 15.0008% is attributed to it in
accordance with Section 22 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 No. 6 of the German Securities
Trading Act (WpHG). Voting rights of the following shareholders whose proportion
of the voting rights in Symrise AG in each case amounts to 3% or more are
thereby attributed to the company: M&G Investment Funds (1).

2. M&G Limited, London, United Kingdom, informed us on August 28, 2012 pursuant
to Section 21 Paragraph 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that its
share of the voting rights in Symrise AG exceeded the 15% threshold on August
23, 2012 and on this day amounted to 15.0008%. This corresponds to 17,726,940
voting rights. This 15.0008% is attributed to it in accordance with Section 22
Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 No. 6 in conjunction with Section 22 Paragraph 1 Sentence
