Ahrensburg, February 18, 2013 - BASLER AG, one of the leading global
manufacturers of cameras for industry and video surveillance
applications, is releasing preliminary figures for fiscal year 2012.

The group's sales increased in fiscal year 2012 by 1% to EUR 55.9
million (previous year: EUR 55.1 million). Incoming orders increased
by 14 % to EUR 60.6 million (previous year: EUR 53.1 million). The
gross profit margin amounted to 48.1% (previous year: 44.3%). The
earnings before taxes amounted to EUR 5.6 million (previous year: EUR
5.6 million) and reached the level of the previous year as well as
the pre-tax return of 10.0% (previous year: 10.2%). With these
results the company's forecast communicated to the capital market has
been achieved at the upper end.

The cash flow from operational activity amounted to EUR 12.6 million
(previous year: EUR 13.7 million -8%). The free cash flow calculated
as the sum of cash flows from operational activity and investment
reached a value of EUR 6.3 million (previous year: EUR 6.9 million,
-9%).

In 2012, Basler AG achieved again one of its best results in the
company's history. The focusing on the camera business agreed upon 4
years ago was concluded at the end of the reporting period so that
the company starts as a pure camera manufacturer into the fiscal year
2013.

These provisional figures are awaiting attestation by the auditors
and approval by the supervisory board. The definitive figures for
fiscal year 2012, the annual report for 2012, and the forecast for
fiscal year 2013 will be presented on March 28, 2013.
