Contracts

Dortmund (euro adhoc) - adesso AG has emerged victorious in a
Europe-wide tender by its largest customer, the BITMARCK group of
companies, and will remain the group's key contract partner for up to
four more years. The Dortmund-based IT service provider was able to
position itself on 32 of 39 tendered lots as one of five contract
partners to take on potential consultancy and software development
orders. This was a further step in adesso's efforts to expand its
commitment to the customer.

BITMARCK, the software and systems vendor of the company and guild
health insurance funds and DAK, is involved in the continuous
development of the "iskv_21c" information system together with adesso
and additional realisation partners, and is working on introducing
the system at Germany's statutory health insurance providers. In
future, administrative and information processes for some 26 million
insured patients in Germany will be processed via the system. As part
of the major project, adesso has been one of the BITMARCK group of
companies' main development partners for more than ten years. Once
again, adesso has won the customer over with its expertise,
quantitative selection criteria and price. The customer divided the
attractive order volume into 39 functional lots in September 2012 and
invited companies from around Europe to tender. An independent tender
partner of BITMARCK coordinated the multi-stage selection procedure.
They selected both general contractual partners and the specific
contractors for a majority of the individual realisation bids, which
were open at the same time. adesso tendered offers for 34 of the 39
lots as a contract partner and was awarded a contract for 32 lots. At
the same time, contractors for specific consultancy and realisation
orders were selected from the five remaining contract partners for a
majority of the lots according to predefined quantitative and
qualitative criteria.

With more than 1,300 employees and more than EUR 250 million in
annual sales, BITMARCK is the largest full-service IT provider for
Germany's statutory health insurance providers. The group of
companies realises intelligent IT solutions for company and guild
health insurance funds, DAK-Gesundheit and other approved alternative
health insurance funds (Ersatzkassen). The renewed large order from
one of the leading players in the market, and adesso's key customer
for many years, means a high degree of security when it comes to
staff and sales planning. The health care sector is one of adesso's
core industries, which contributes some 14 % to the company's annual
sales.
