Saarbrücken, November 28, 2008 - ItN Nanovation AG (ISIN
DE000A0JL461) generated sales amounting to EUR 3.9 million in the
first nine months of 2008. This represents an increase of 4.3 percent
compared to the same period in the previous year. Sales in the filter
division - currently in the development phase - rose by 87 percent,
and decreased in the coatings segment by 2 percent. EBIT of EUR -8.7
million was reported in the first nine months of 2008 after amounting
to EUR -4.6 million in the previous year. This includes negative
one-time effects amounting to approximately EUR 2.6 million, mainly
attributable to the realignment of the company and the change in
management.

As of September 30, 2008, the equity ratio amounted to 57 percent
compared to 73 percent at 2007 year-end. The company´s liquid assets
totaled EUR 1.6 million as of the 2008 reporting date and have
continued to fall since then. The Management Board has introduced the
necessary measures to ensure an improvement in cash and cash
equivalents, making this a top priority. To achieve this, operating
segments, which have been identified by management as non-core, may
be disposed of to strategic partners. The out-licensing of industrial
property rights is also an option. In addition, the company´s major
shareholders have indicated that they want to continue providing the
company with the support it needs for its further development in the
future.
