Australia's Tritium announces international collaboration with major Chinese manufacturer at Intersolar 2014 / Veefil® Electric Vehicle Fast Charger makes European debut at Intersolar 2014 Stand No: B

Tennyson / Shanghai (ots) - One of the most
technologically-advanced fast chargers for the electric vehicle (EV)
market, the Veefil® Electric Vehicle Fast Charger, is making its
European debut at Intersolar 2014, in association with
Shanghai-based, electric product manufacturer SSE.

As part of a new international collaboration, Tritium and SSE are
cooperating to enable Veefil® to be delivered globally and in volume,
whilst maintaining its high-quality build specification. Tritium
Managing Director, David Finn, explains: "This is the coming together
of a high-performance product with a high-quality manufacturing
capability. The intention of the partnership is to address the cost
barriers that currently exist in the electric vehicle charging
market, without compromising on the quality of the product.

"Having designed Veefil® from the ground up, Tritium has full
control of all product components, presenting a unique opportunity to
take advantage of SSE's extensive experience in power electronics
manufacturing." Launched in Australia in May 2013, Veefil® is the
culmination of 10 years' of technological development by
Brisbane-based company Tritium. Tritium's mission was to produce a
cost-efficient, premium fast charger that would be easy to install,
easy to use and easy to own.

Veefil® can add 50km range to an EV battery charge in just 10
minutes - which would take over three hours using a wall socket. It
is designed for use in areas where motorists will want to enjoy the
convenience of fast charging, such as shopping centres, coffee shops,
airports and highway service centres. In addition, it is attractive
to fleet operators who will reduce the time their assets are off-line
from three hours to 10 minutes.
