Sol.evo Quad launches at Intersolar

London (ots) - Intersolar Europe this year sees the launch of the
Quad car canopy by Sol.evo, the company developing flexible, modular
PV designs for Europe's carparks. The Quad - providing cover for four
parks - joins the Duo (a module covering two parks) launched last
year. The unique modular design, using a single stem and micropile
foundation, increases the landowner's ability to cover a site
cost-effectively while minimizing parking disruption and assembly
time.

"There's nothing like this on the market," said Andrew Cox, the
Product Development Director behind the design. "It's hugely
flexible: our rail mounting system can accommodate virtually any
crystalline modules, thin film frames or thin film frameless modules.

"We've done a significant amount of pre-engineering to make
assembly as quick and easy as possible. The design is pre-approved
for six European countries, minimizing site-specific design, and the
entire canopy can be assembled on the ground, reducing both
installation times and health and safety risks."

Each carport only requires a single micropile foundation that can
be installed in 30 minutes, maximizing available parking space while
minimizing disruption to the car park surface.

The Sol.evo car canopy can be provided either as structure only,
allowing EPC contractors to fit their own modules, or as a complete
package. They can also be fitted with Electric Vehicle charging units
to add further value to the structures.

"We want to bring energy generation into the urban environment,"
said Andrew. "Solar car canopies can do that on a large scale if we
reduce material and installation costs, make them visually pleasing,
and ensure they are quick and easy to install. The initial interest
we've had in the Sol.evo canopies suggests we've got the formula
right with these two designs."
